What do you have to do to turn into a green tourist?

While driving:

• The most effective capacity utilization (less fuel consumes and best combustion) is at 80 to 90 km per hour. If you go faster than 100 km/h, the energy consumption rises and reduces the driving time on the island insignificantly.
• Minimum reduce of speed saves fuel.
• Drive always in the highest gear. More fuel is needed in the lower gears.
• The air condition in the car uses fuel. Set the air condition to an average temperature and on internal ventilation.
• Avoid roads with high frequency. On the weekends between 11 and 13 h and 18 and 20 h. there are traffic jams from/between Inca – Alcudia to/and Palma – Manacor.

On the beach:

• Before you get in the car, move the sand carefully.
• Take consideration of the dune vegetation.
• Stay on the paths.
• Do not throw hard or liquidity waste into the ocean.

Over the country:

• Don not tear out flowers, or branches, no wild flowers or collect any animals. Think about that it might be endangered specie under conservation or that you are destroying their food.
• Avoid noise (music, shouting etc.) and any other pestering to the wild fauna.
• Do not throw cigarettes away, do not make open fire, campfire etc. With this we avoid forest fires which destroy thousands of hectare wood.
• Do not drive beside concrete, because this can lead to ground erosion and could destroy the floor vegetation.

The Vaste:

• Please throw all your waste in the bins all over the beaches, in wild life parks etc.
• If you can not find any bin, please use a plastic bag for your waste and leave it in the car. We will take care of the dispose and of the recycling.

AND PLEASE BE AWARE ABOUT THAT MALLORCA HAS BINS FOR WASTE SEPARATION AVAILABLE, PAPER, GLASS, REUSABLE PACKAGE AND ORGANIC WASTE.
